Acceptable Use Policy
Effective date: 7 October 2026
You may use multivoce only to caption, translate and voice live speech that you have the right to capture and share. Everything this policy prohibits can lead to removal of content, suspension or termination without notice and without liability on our part.
This policy forms part of the Terms of Service. Capitalised terms have the meaning given in the Terms.
1. Who this policy applies to
1.1 This policy applies to every Customer, every person a Customer allows to use its account or licence (an "Operator"), and every person who joins a session as an audience member (a "Viewer").
1.2 "Content" means any audio, speech, transcript, translation, synthesised voice, session name, organisation name, logo, image or other material put into or produced through the Service.
2. Lawful capture and broadcast
You must not use the Service to:
- capture, transcribe, translate, voice or broadcast speech that you have no legal right to capture or share;
- capture anyone's speech without giving them, and the audience, the information that data protection law requires, or without any consent that the law requires;
- record, monitor or profile people covertly, including employees, members, attendees or the public;
- broadcast music, films, television, radio, recorded talks or any other third-party work without the rights holder's permission;
- process special category data (for example, data revealing religious or political beliefs or health) or children's data unless you have a lawful basis and, for special category data, a condition under UK GDPR Art. 9;
- breach any law on interception of communications, recording of conversations, broadcasting, consumer protection, export control or sanctions.
3. Prohibited content
You must not put into, or produce through, the Service any Content that:
- is illegal under the law of any part of the United Kingdom, or of the country where it is received;
- sexually exploits or endangers children (we report this to the competent authorities);
- incites violence, terrorism or hatred against people because of a protected characteristic;
- harasses, threatens, bullies or intimidates anyone;
- is defamatory, fraudulent, deceptive or misleading;
- infringes copyright, trade marks, privacy, confidentiality or any other right of a third party;
- impersonates any person or organisation, or misrepresents your affiliation with one;
- contains malware or code designed to damage, interfere with or gain unauthorised access to any system.
4. Protecting the Service and other users
You must not:
- join, or try to join, a session you were not invited to, or guess, brute-force or harvest join codes, organisation codes or PINs;
- bypass, disable or interfere with rate limits, quotas, usage metering, licence activation limits, authentication or any other security or usage control;
- copy, decompile, disassemble or reverse engineer the software, or extract its models or source code, except to the extent the law expressly permits despite this restriction;
- scrape or harvest captions, transcripts, translations or audio by automated means, or use bots to inflate viewer counts;
- probe, scan, load-test or penetration-test the Service without our prior written permission;
- overload, disrupt or attack the Service, its relay or its providers, or other customers' use of it;
- share account credentials or licence keys beyond the seats and devices your plan allows;
- resell, sublicense, rent or provide the Service to third parties, or operate it as a service bureau, without our written agreement;
- use the Service or its output to build a competing product, or to train or improve any machine-learning model;
- present AI output as human interpretation, certified translation or verbatim record.
5. Situations where the Service must not be relied on alone
The Service produces machine-generated transcripts, translations and voices that can be wrong, incomplete, delayed or missing. You must not rely on it as the only means of communication where an error could cause death, injury, damage to health, legal prejudice or financial loss. This includes emergency and safety announcements, medical or clinical settings, court and legal proceedings, and official or contractual statements. In those settings a qualified human interpreter must verify what is said. The Service is not certified as an accessibility or captioning solution under any standard.
6. Viewers
Viewers must not:
- record, copy or redistribute a session's captions, translations or audio beyond what the organiser allows;
- disrupt a session or try to identify other viewers;
- use the viewer for any purpose other than following the session they were invited to.
7. Reporting illegal content and abuse
7.1 Anyone can report Content they believe is illegal or breaches this policy by writing to [email protected]. A report should include: why the Content is illegal or prohibited; where it appeared (the organisation, the session or join code, and the date and time); the reporter's name and email address, unless the report concerns child sexual abuse material; and a statement that the report is made in good faith and is accurate and complete.
7.2 We review reports diligently and objectively, and act on them in a timely manner. We tell the reporter what we decided where they gave contact details.
7.3 [email protected] is also our point of contact for authorities and users. We accept messages in English.
7.4 Report security vulnerabilities to [email protected] with the subject "Security". Do not access, change or delete data that is not yours while testing, and give us reasonable time to fix the issue before disclosing it.
8. Enforcement
8.1 We do not monitor sessions in advance and have no obligation to do so. We may, at our discretion and without liability, act on breaches we become aware of.
8.2 Depending on the seriousness of the breach, we may: remove or disable Content; end a live session; revoke join codes or organisation codes; restrict features; suspend or terminate accounts and licences; and report the matter to law enforcement or other authorities and preserve information for them, as the law permits.
8.3 When we restrict an account or remove Content, we give the affected Customer a statement of the reasons, the facts relied on, and how to contest the decision, unless the law prevents it.
8.4 We may suspend immediately, without prior notice, where we reasonably believe that the breach threatens the security or integrity of the Service, other users or third parties, or exposes us to legal liability.
8.5 Fees already paid are not refunded when we suspend or terminate for a breach of this policy, except where mandatory law requires a refund.
